Kid Cudi Performs on SNL and Pays Tribute to Kurt Cobain and Chris Farley

On this past weekend’s episode of Saturday Night Live, Kid Cudi appeared as the show’s musical guest. Throughout his performances of songs off of his 2020 album Man on the Moon III: The Chosen, Cudi paid tribute to Kurt Cobain and Christ Farley. The 37-year-old rapper did so through his outfits for the night.

During his performance of his song “Sad People” Kid Cudi wore a floral print dress, which is similar to ones worn by Kurt Cobain in his performances in the 1990’s.

In his performance of “Tequila Shots” Cudi wore a fuzzy green cardigan similar to the one Cobain wore in Nirvana’s MTV Unplugged show. Additionally, underneath the cardigan, Cudi wore a shirt with a headshot of Chris Farley on it.

After the show, Cudi went to his Twitter to talk about the dress he wore, saying “Virgil designed the dress for me. I told him I wanted to show love to Kurt w a floral print sundress and this man made a masterpiece. Thank You @virgilabloh ur a fuckin genius!! Love you man we did it!!!”

Kid Cudi continued with another tweet, saying, “Im doin a collection w Off White and the dress will be included!!”
