On Thursday, July 22nd, Stone Temple Pilots released a new music video for their song “And So I Know,” which is made entirely of footage of the band from 1995. The song appeared on the band’s 1996 album Tiny Music… Songs From the Vatican Gift Shop, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. With the anniversary, Stone Temple Pilots released a Super Deluxe Edition of the album today that includes remastered versions of the originally included songs, alternative mixes, and versions of some songs, along with a full recording of their show from March 14th, 1997 at Club La Vela in Panama City Beach, Florida.
The footage included in the music video for “And So I Know” was filmed when Stone Temple Pilots were recording the album Tiny Music… Songs From the Vatican Gift Shop. The music video shows the band hanging out and recording music, and views of producer Brendan O’Brien’s house in Santa Ynez Valley, CA, where the band recorded the album.

Eric Kretz, the drummer for Stone Temple Pilots talked about the making of the album and the clips from the music video saying, “Coming into our third album, we knew we wanted to get into uncharted waters as a band, and not just make an album that was a continuation of the first two, but really experiment with a homegrown mentality. Deciding to record in a house instead of a proper studio was our collective first choice. Once we started recording, we tried different songs and different overdubs in every nook and cranny the house had to offer.”
