Join us all weekend as we celebrate T.I.’s 40th birthday with our T.I. Birthday Weekend Pop-Up Station. We will also be doing a special T.I. Birthday Bash w/ Dash on Twitch tonight featuring DJ Journey & an exclusive T.I. interview with DJ Skee!

All weekend long our T.I. Birthday Weekend Pop-Up station will be playing all of his hits as well as some b-side cuts you might’ve missed. At the top of every hour, we will play his latest single “Ring” featuring Young Thug!

T.I. gifted us today on his own birthday with the release of the official music video for his latest single “Ring” featuring Young Thug.

Dash Radio’s founder DJ Skee sat down with T.I. for an interview which will be premiered tonight during our T.I. Birthday Bash w/ Dash special on Twitch at 6pm pst. DJ Journey will be hosting a special DJ set on our Twitch to celebrate the king of the south’s birthday.

YoungBoy Never Broke Again’s Top Claims Third No. 1 on Billboard

YoungBoy Never Broke Again claims his third No. 1 album in less than a year on the Billboard 200 Chart with his newest release, and well-titled Top. The 20-year-old rapper’s album was released on September 11 via Never Broke Again/Artist Partner Group/Atlantic.

According to Nielsen Music/MRC Data, the release earned 126,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in its first week. Of those album units, 106,000 are from SEA (streaming equivalent albums) units, equaling 156.32 million on-demand streams of the album’s songs in its first week. Album sales comprise 19,000 and just under 1,000 are in TEA (track equivalent albums) units.

All three of YoungBoy’s No. 1 albums have come within the last 11 months. The first album to top the list was AI YoungBoy 2 which reached No. 1 on the chart dated October 26, 2019. 38 Baby 2 was the second album to reach No. 1, on May 9, 2020. September 26, 2020, is the date of the chart where Top reached No. 1.

BTS reached three No. 1s in 10 months and 25 days, with their albums, Love Yourself: Tear, Love Yourself: Answer, and Love Yourself: Persona. This is only a slightly shorter amount of time than YoungBoy. Since his debut on August 26, 2017, YoungBoy has placed 15 albums on the Billboard 200 Chart, including four EPs. He is the only artist to have charted as many albums of newly recorded material in that span of time.

The Killers Perform “Mr. Brightside” on Monday Night Football

On Monday Night Football, the Killers performed “Mr. Brightside” on a rooftop in Las Vegas as a welcome to the NFL’s Raiders. The game was played against the New Orleans Saints and was the Raiders’ first home game of the season where they unveiled their new Allegiant Stadium. 

Brandon Flowers, singer for the Killers, introduced the band and their signature single, from 2004’s Hot Fuss, “Hello, we’re the Killers. It’s our pleasure to welcome the Raiders to fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada. I think we’ve got just the song for the occasion.”

The Killers’ sixth LP, Imploding the Mirage, was released a month before the live appearance. In a recent live stream event “Remembering Ian Curtis” with Bernard Sumner and Stephen Morris from New Order, Flowers mentioned the Killers beginning work on another record, tentatively due out spring 2021.

He said “Every time someone makes a record, they say that they have 50 songs and they’re going to release another record. We really are. We’re going to release another one in about 10 months. We’ve already gone back into the studio with [producer Jonathon Rado] and [producer Shawn Everett]. We did a week in Northern California. I had a lot of time on my hands. Before, I’d normally be gearing up to tour, all of that time has gone back into writing more songs. It’s been pretty fruitful.”

Chaos Chaos Announce “Support Black Womxn” A Virtual Concert and Comedy Livestream Taking Place on Dash Radio Twitch on September 30. Includes Performances by Reggie Watts, Fred Armisen, Cautious Clay, Chaos Chaos, Gavin Turek, Zuri Marley, No Vacation, and more.

100 Percent Of The Proceeds Donated To The Loveland Foundation

Chaos Chaos is excited to present “Support Black Womxn” a virtual concert and comedy live stream event curated by the band. The show will take place on September 30 at 4pm PST / 7pm EST and will be hosted by Novena Carmel on Dash Radio’s Twitch Channel.

The live stream will include performances by Reggie Watts, Fred Armisen, Dewayne Perkins, Shalewa Sharpe, Paul Scheer, Nick Rutherford, Cautious Clay, Chaos Chaos, Gavin Turek, Dana Williams, MICHELLE, Lonnie Holley, Nezza, No Vacation, MILCK, Bunny Michael, Echo Kellum, Michael Blume, Yeek, and Zuri Marley. Each set will take place with strict safety and COVID-19 sanitation protocols in place, ensuring the safety of those involved.

This incredible show is free and is presented in partnership with The Crocodile, KORG, Roland, Gamers. Vote and Tom Tom Magazine. The event aims to raise money for The Loveland Foundation, a non-profit organization that helps Black womxn and girls gain access to mental health professionals. Starting today, donations can be made HERE and will be accepted until October 3.

Supporting women and girls of color during this time is meaningful to Asy and Chloe of Chaos Chaos and this is a safe way to do so while bringing a fun experience into people’s homes.

About the show Chloe says: 

I wanted to find a way to use my platform to honor and support black experiences. As a white woman, I want to be aware of my privilege and thoughtful of how to not silence any voices. I felt that making the event be in support of black womxn was the best way to give voice and awareness to the people who need to be heard the most. I also want to make it clear that the event is in support of all black and brown femmes, trans and GNC people. We chose for the event to benefit Loveland Foundation because they work towards empowering black womxn and girls by providing financial assistance for those seeking therapy. I support the work they do and believe there is long term benefit in providing a space for black womxn’s mental health. Because I am white, I was unsure of how appropriate it was for me to organize this event. How do I help amplify black voices without speaking for / representing those that need to be heard? But, in giving it more thought I realized that in not doing the event I am perpetuating white silence and stagnancy whereas in doing the event I can work with others to provide a platform for amplifying black womxn’s voices. I’m so excited about the impact we can have raising money for Loveland and so thankful to all the awesome musicians and comedians performing.

Martin Lawrence Announces New “Martin” Merchandise Collection

Martin is back! Martin Lawrence announced a new merchandise collection based off his breakout show “Martin”. The Hollywood actor is giving us an opportunity to reconnect with one of our favorite shows.

The collection features new tee’s reminiscent of ’90s rap tour tee’s and other throwback designs. There are also references to sayings as well as characters Roscoe, Gina, & Sheneneh from the popular show in the collection.

The entire collection takes you back to the ’90s and reminds you why we all fell in love with Martin in the first place.

D-AYE Links With Zaytoven on “Hunnids”

D-AYE Links with Zaytoven on “Hunnids”. The concept for “Hunnids” is all derivative of a night at an Atlanta mainstay institution, Magic City.  When speaking on the single D-Aye says, “I was just leaving Magic City, and I had all hundreds on me, and in typical fashion helped stimulate the local economy.”

Linking up with Zaytoven was instantaneous chemistry for both of them, after initially linking through a mutual friend.  And after taking a break from releasing music for the past year, D-Aye feels a breath of fresh air.  On his newly formed label deal with Reckless Republic/Island Records he says, “I was releasing music independently, but with the help of both Reckless Republic and Island [Records] my career is about to be elevated I feel, I truly appreciate the whole staff over there for believing in me.

With over 15 million views on YouTube, Montgomery rapper D-Aye makes his major label debut on Reckless Republic/Island Records.  “Hunnids” is produced by Grammy-award winning producer Zaytoven to add his signature melodic keys to the record, with a catchy hook to back up the record.  This single is that of inspiration, where D-Aye uses repetition to convey the messaging of turning nothing into something.  In this period of uncertainty this single should aim to push listeners to hone their creativity, whether it’s starting a new hustle or pursuing a new passion.

Meet Jenna Andrews, Chart-Topping Songwriter & Host of The Green Room

Have you heard of Jenna Andrews? You may not be familiar with her name yet but we guarantee you’re familiar with the music she’s written. Jenna Andrews is a chart-topping songwriter who’s credits from last year alone amassed over 200M streams and she’s also the host of The Green Room.

The Green Room is a show hosted by Jenna that focused on mental health awareness. Jenna brings on some of her industry friends and a mental health specialist to open up the discussion on mental health in the entertainment business.
