The Avalanches New Album We Will Always Love You Coming Out Friday Dec 11th

The Avalanches will be releasing their highly anticipated new album We Will Always Love You, next Friday, December 11th.

The new album will have features from Johnny Marr, Karen O, MGMT, Perry Farrell and many more. The star-studded track-list was announced back in October:

So far, four singles from We Will Always Love You have been released. The first single carrying the same name as the album was successful in bringing a lot of attention to the release of the anticipated project.

Alongside We Will Always Love You – Wherever You Go – featuring a perfectly harmonized sample of Sergio Mendes’ Magalenha, and Interstellar Love, featuring Leon Bridges, also served to give fans a good glimpse into what the Australian duo have in the works. The fourth single, Running Red Lights, features artists River Cuomo and Pink Siifu.

Speaking of the latest single, Interstellar Love, The Avalanches’ Robbie Chater said;

“Leon is an incredible singer, with just the most beautiful voice. He’s from Texas, but we both happened to be in L.A. at the same time, which was lucky as he was on my all-time wish list. When we were in the studio, I told him the story about Ann Druyan and Carl Sagan and how her love-struck brain waves were sent out into space on the Voyager’s Golden Record. And this song came out of that.”

Just last Friday, The Avalanches celebrated the 20th year anniversary of their debut album, Since I Left You, and in the 20 years in between, their fan-base only grew more excited of their new projects to come.

Since I Left You was widely acclaimed when it came out, and Pitchfork even rated it as one of their top 10 favorite albums of the 2000’s.

We Will Always Love You will be available on all music platforms this Friday, December 11th.
