John Rose and Leron Rogers Join Fox Rothschild, Get Used To Those Names

This week it was announced that two of Dash Radio’s close friends Leron E. Rogers (partner) & John T. Rose (associate) are joining Fox Rothschild LLP in the Entertainment & Sports Law Department in Atlanta.

Why this matters? Well, Rogers & Rose just led the charge in a big lawsuit pertaining Rick Ross’ “In Da Club Remix”. In the suit, 50 Cent was suing Rick Ross for using his “In Da Club” song on a mixtape.

By winning this case they set the precedent that artists can’t go after each other in regards to mixtapes, even if the artists have beef. This gives artists the freedom to express their creativity in the mixtape world, the freedom that makes mixtapes appealing to begin with.

John T. Rose joined our benefit streams earlier this year and has organized plenty of his own benefits including “What A Year To Be Alive” which was hosted by Dash Radio. But what he does for the culture goes beyond what these words can describe.

Imagine if Lil Wayne couldn’t use all the other artists beats he uses on No Ceilings or Da Drought Is Over. The mixtape has been an integral part of hip hop for a long time now & thanks to Rose & Rogers we won’t be losing that anytime soon.

Leron E. Rogers & John T. Rose will lead the way in entertainment law for years to come and them joining Fox Rothschild LLP gives them even more resources to keep defending the culture.

Atlanta has long been a cultural hub for music, especially Hip Hop & R&B so its extra special that the duo Rogers & Rose are representing the law firm in Atlanta, this was emphasized by Marc H. Simon, chair of the firm’s Entertainment & Sports Law Department.

Georgia has become a center for the arts and entertainment industries and has long been a hub for the hip-hop and rap scene. Expanding our reach with boots on the ground in Atlanta will benefit our client roster nationwide and provide increased opportunities for collaboration and growth,” he continued.

We are thrilled to strengthen our service offerings in the region,” said Julie Earp, Managing Partner of the firms Atlanta office. Leron and John are well-known and respected attorneys in the legal community and will be integral as we continue to grow our presence in this key market.”

Last month we hosted the John T. Rose “What A Year To Be Alive” benefit stream which can be rewatched on our Twitch channel.

Congrats to both Leron E. Rogers & John T. Rose on the new endeavors! Except to see those names more and more in the coming years.
