Phoebe Bridgers Performs On Saturday Night Live

This past Saturday, February 6th, Phoebe Bridgers made her Saturday Night Live debut. The episode was hosted by David Levy, the Schitt’s Creek star. The 26-year-old alternative rock star performed two songs, “Kyoto,” and “I Know The End.”

“Kyoto” was the artist’s performance kickoff song. All band members were dressed in Bridgers’ iconic skeleton onesies, which were also worn in the song’s music video. “Kyoto” is the second single off of Punisher, Phoebe Bridgers’ 2020 sophomore album.

The last song performed was “I Know The End,” which is also off her Punisher. While her band members continued to wear the skeleton onesies, Bridgers changed into a black dress with a beaded neckline. The stage was set dark and moody, with red spotlights. Bridgers decided to end the song and the night’s performance by smashing her guitar. For about 30 seconds, she smashed her guitar on a nearby amp, which sent sparks flying.

This year, Phoebe Bridgers is up for four Grammys. Two are for “Kyoto,” and the others are for best new artist and best alternative music album for Punisher. The Grammys are set to air next month on March 14th. Check out Dash’s full article on Grammy nominees here
