Jay-Z & Nipsey Hussle Collab What It Feels Like Set To Arrive on Friday with Judas and the Black Messiah

With the Judas and the Black Messiah movie, starring Lakeith Stanfield, set to arrive on Friday, February 12th, the soundtrack of the movie is bringing just as much hype as the film itself.

The soundtrack, reportedly, will feature a posthumous collaboration between Nipsey Hussle and Jay-Z, named What It Feels Like. Executive produced by Hit-Boy, What It Feels Like marks Nip and Hov’s first official collaboration.

Judas and the Black Messiah takes place in Chicago during the 1960s and depicts the betrayal of Black Panther Party chairman Fred Hampton. The two-hour film starring Daniel Kaluuya, LaKeith Stanfield, Jesse Plemons and more hits theaters and HBO Max on Friday (February 12).

The rest of the tracklist for the highly anticipated film’s soundtrack finds contributions from Nas, A$AP Rocky, Lil Durk, G Herbo, Rakim, Polo G, H.E.R., Black Thought, Pooh Shiesty, Smino, Dom Kenndy SiR and many more.

Jay and Nip’s relationship began years ago in 2013 when Nipsey famously priced his 2013 Crenshaw mixtape at $100 apiece, and against the general thought, Hov believed in him and paid it forward by purchasing 100 copies of the project. Jay became fond of Hussle’s movement and paid tribute to him at his Webster Hall concert shortly after his death in 2019 during a freestyle.

While the fans of the deceased artist have long been waiting for a posthumous album, Nipsey’s brother, Blacc Sam, explained to Billboard that the only way such an album could be released would be in conjunction with a documentary on Nip’s life, which the Asghedom family is working on.
